About

Nanyang Speech Technology Forum (NSTF) is a research platform for academics, industrial developers, and graduate students to meet and share their research progress in speech technologies. The forum is under the patronage of COLIPS. The forum was initiated by a group of researchers who were working or had worked in Singapore, and the primary goal was to provide an opportunity to the Singapore speech technology community to gather annually. The 1st NSTF was successfully hosted on 16 September 2023, and a total of 12 students presented their work to compete for 4 awards. This year, the forum will be hosted on 28 September 2024 and the venue is National University of Singapore campus.

As the Singapore speech research community has strong connections with overseas collaborators, the organizing committee would like to extend the forum scale to cover, but not limited to, Southeast Asian countries, the Greater Bay Area of China, Taiwan, etc. The working language of the forum is English.

Scope

The NSTF would like to invite the representatives (professors, researchers or graduate students) from each Singapore’s speech research team to share their latest research outcomes. The forum could also invite the reputable professionals to deliver a keynote speech. The organizing committee will regularly receive suggestions from the graduate students to understand their interest so that the forum can invite the keynote speakers accordingly. All the presentation topics should be related to speech technologies.
