ISCSLP 2006 News Letter  #2 

1) ISCSLP 2006 Organizing Committee met on Sept 04, 2005 in Lisbon. It was attended by Helen Meng (HK), Tan Lee (Invited, HK), Brian Mak (Invited, HK), M.H. Siu (Invited, HK), M.W. Mak (Invited, HK), Chin-Hui Lee (US), Thomas Zheng (BJ), Jianhua Tao (BJ), Hsin-Min Wang (TW),Chiu-yu Tseng (TW), Sin-Horng Chen (Invited, TW), Haizhou Li (SIN), Bin Ma (SIN), Minghui Dong (SIN), and chaired by Dr Haizhou Li. The meeting deliberated on issues regarding plenary and tutorial speeches, technical committee, special sessions and workshops.

2) ISCSLP 2006 appointed a technical committee to oversee the paper review process as updated in the conference website.

3) ISCSLP 2006 was glad to receive sponsorship from Toshiba (China) Research and Development Centre.

4) ISCSLP 2006 was glad to receive sponsorship from Asian Federation of Natural Language Processing.

5) ISCSLP 2006 agreed to co-locate in tandem with International Conference on
Computer Processing of Oriental Languages (ICCPOL) 2006 in Singapore.
