Please take note that this page was only for the conference participants. We do not accept reservations any more becuase the event has ended.

Important Notes:

• To book room in NUS student halls, researvation form and payment should be received before Nov 20, 2006.
• To book room at a conference rate in Swissôtel The Stamford hotel, researvation should be received by Nov 30, 2006.

1) University Halls of Residence:

Please note: The NUS Student Halls do not accept individual reservations. If you wish to stay in the Student Halls, we will assist you in the room reservation.

Information

Kent Ridge Hall and Sheares Hall are two of the six Halls of Residences in the National University of Singapore (NUS). They are conveniently situated just across the road, opposite the Institute for Infocomm Research. Public transport is easily accessible where you can go explore the nearby restaurants, hawker centers, shopping center and last but not least, visit the bizarre tourist attraction, Haw Par Villa.

Room Charges & Reservations

There are two types of rooms available, namely the Guest Room and the Standard Room.

• Guest Room: All Guest Room comes with a Queen-sized bed and can accommodate two persons. The guest rooms are equipped with air conditioner and bathroom.
• Standard Room:The Standard Rooms are normally for Students. Delegates who are not student can also stay in these Standard Rooms, but they will be charged at a slightly higher rate than a Student. There is no air conditioner, no attached bathroom in the rooms. However, Shared bathroom is available for standard rooms. (Please note that students means those who are below 21 years old and up to undergraduate level only. So almost all of our delegates belong to non-student category)

In Kent Ridge Hall, there are 4 Guest Rooms and 60 Standard Rooms available for ISCSLP delegates. In Sheares Hall, there are 5 Guest Rooms and 40 Standard Rooms available for ISCSLP delegates. Basically, there is little difference between Sheares Hall and Kent Ridge Hall. The rates are the same for the two Halls as follows:

*:to add another one time payment of S$6.00 for bed linen and pillow.

**: Student rate is for students that are below 21 years old and up to undergraduate level only.

There is an administration fee of 5% payable in addtion to the total charge.

2) Santa Grand Hotel (West Coast)

Information

Newly opened in July 2006, the hotel is within walking distance from I2R. Hotel provides room only. There are totally 42 rooms in this hotel. Broadband internet surfing is available. 24-hours convenient shop and local food like the Cheese Prata are available in close proximity of the hotel. A "Pasta Fresca Restaurant" can also be found just opposite the hotel. Public transport is easily accessible that can bring you to NUS, nearby shopping Center, hawker center, and the bizarre tourist attraction – Haw Par Villa.

Standard Room: S$90/night plus GST
Payment must be made on daily basis or in advance.

3)Pasir Panjang Inn

Pansir Panjang Inn is within walking distance from I2R. It is one bus stop away from the conference venue.

Room Charges & Reservations

The room charge is as the following:
1) Single room: S$65 nett with breakfast
2) Double occupancy room: S$70 net with breakfast

10 rooms are reserved for ISCSLP delegates. Delegates need to contact Pasir Panjang Inn directly for room confirmation. Credit card is needed to secure the room. Please use this code when making enquiry / reservation / booking (CODE: SINI2R01A).

Guest Rooms

Rate is applicable for room only. Breakfast can be arranged at S$30.00+++ per person per day.

The above rate is accorded based on a minimum number of 20 rooms blocked. This rate is subject to non last-room availability i.e. your corporate rates may not be available during high occupancy periods. When corporate rates are not available, you will be offered our best available rates.

Room rate quoted is in Singapore Dollars and are subject to 10% service charge, 1% government tax and 5% Goods and Services Tax. (That is what the +++ means).

Any additional rooms required above the number of blocked rooms are subject to availability.  Room type will be based on whatever that is available in the inventory and will be charged accordingly to the price of the room category. 

Check-in time at the Hotel is 1400hrs.  The Hotel will make reasonable efforts to accommodate early arrivals before 1400hrs.   However, should you require a room to be confirmed for early arrival, a full day charge will be levied at the Group’s room rate, subject to availability.

The official check-out time is 1300hrs.  Late check-outs will be on request basis.  Subject to availability, a 50% discount off the Group’s room rate will apply if guest checks-out before 1800hrs.  If the guest checks-out after 1800 hrs, a full day charge will be levied at the Group’s room rate.

Guest has to send in their individual Room Reservation Form by 30 November 2006, including information on single/double occupancy, flight details and preference on smoking or non-smoking rooms, airport transfers, credit card number and expiry date of each guest if billing is under personal account. Any room reservation request received after the above cut-off date would be subject to room type & rate availability.

The remaining room block not materialized by 30 November 2006 will be released at no penalty. Any cancellation by guest after 30 November '06 would be subject to 01 night cancellation charge on his personal account.

Should there be a no-show for confirmed reservations, cancellation charge for accommodation will apply for the duration of the stay respectively.

Billing

Guests will charge the guest room and incidental charges to their personal accounts which would be settled upon check out.
