Virtual Conference Arrangement

It has been almost two years that conferences were held on virtual platforms which reduced the opportunity to interact socially and spontaneously compared to in-person events. While ICSR 2021 will try to bring back as much in-person experience as possible for those who are able to join us in Singapore, we are also doing something extra by making the virtual component onto Gather.Town, as a means of facilitating face-to-face interaction.

From the Opening Ceremony to the Closing, the whole main conference programme will be available at Gather.Town integrated with zoom live sessions. All the pre-recorded full length videos (15 mins for full papers and 5 mins for the brief research reports) together with the PDF copy all the papers will be made available within the virtual environment. Just follow instructions on the floor while you navigate.

The Organising Committee has also designed an ICSR’21 themed virtual background. Please down from here for use during the conference.

All full conference attendees will be provided access to the Gather.Town platform 3-5 days before the actual conference for your reading and viewing pleasures of the technical contents. You will receive an email notification to activate your access in your email account used for registration. You may access the platform for at least 2 more weeks after the conference ends.

Gather.Town access is now open at https://gather.town/app/N7DiyREV7QwAIi59/ICSR2021. Please log in with your registered email address. All registration types will be given Gather.Town access except Workshop Only categories. If you have just registered recently, please note that it will take 24-48 hours to sync your access.

For more information on how to use Gather.Town, please visit the Gather.Town 101 page.

The Government of Singapore announced that from 18 Oct, 10 countries  will have been added to the reciprocal Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) with Singapore. This means that any fully vaccinated individual who has an immediate travel history of more than 14 days in any of these countries will be able to move freely in these countries without having to serve a quarantine term. Currently, the VTL designated countries are Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Demark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, and United States. For more information on Singapore’s travel advisory, please visit https://safetravel.ica.gov.sg/vtl/requirements-and-process. Singapore Airlines has also compiled COVID-19 regulations for travelling to and from most countries in this web page. Please make sure you read them well in advance of your travel.

Ensure travel insurance coverage

Air Travel Pass and Vaccinated Travel Pass travellers are required to have travel insurance coverage prior to travelling to Singapore. The insurance plan should provide at least S$30,000 worth of coverage for COVID-19-related hospitalisation and medical expenses.

COVID-19 Restrictions in Singapore

While Singapore is graduating opening up for business and leisure travelers, the country is taking a phased approach towards transition to a new post-COVID-19 normal. The Stabilization Phase which was implemented on 27 Sept and updated on 13 Oct places some restrictions on wearing of facial mask, dining, gathering and other activities. Please check out this Ministry of Health page on advisory on these measures before travelling to Singapore. When you are in Singapore, please ensure full compliance to the rules and restrictions.
