Shanghai
Shanghai is one of the four municipalities under the direct administration of the central
government of the People's Republic of China, the most populous city in China, and the
most populous city proper in the world, with a population of 26.3 million as of 2019. It
is a global financial center and transport hub, with the world's busiest container port.
Located in the Yangtze River Delta, it sits on the south edge of the estuary of the
Yangtze in the middle portion of the Eastern China coast. The municipality borders the
provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang to the south, east and west, and is bound to the east by
the East China Sea.
Shanghai has been described as the "showpiece" of the booming economy of mainland China,
renowned for its Lujiazui skyline, and museums and historic buildings, such as those along
The Bund, as well as the City God Temple and the Yu Garden.
Lujiazui
Lujiazui, formerly known as Lokatse from its pronunciation in Shanghainese, is a locality
in Shanghai, a peninsula formed by a bend in the Huangpu River. Since the early 1990s,
Lujiazui has been developed specifically as a new financial district of Shanghai. The
decision to earmark Lujiazui for this purpose reflects its location: it is located on the
east side of the Huangpu River in Pudong, and sits directly across the river from the old
financial and business district of the Bund.

Nanjing Road East, honored as "China's No. 1 Street", has become an all-warhter pedestrain
arcade. Shops and restaurant provide products and services with their own characteristics,
making it an ideal place that intergrates shopping, restaurants, amusement and
sightseeing.
City God Temple of Shanghai

Yu Garden
Yu Garden is an extensive Chinese garden located beside the City God Temple in the
northeast of the Old City of Shanghai at Huangpu Qu, Shanghai Shi. It abuts the Yuyuan
Tourist Mart, the Huxinting Teahouse and the Yu Garden Bazaar.
Disney
Shanghai Disney Resort is a themed resort in Pudong, Shanghai. It is the first Disney park
resort in mainland China and the second in China, after the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
The resort opened to the public on June 16, 2016.
East China Normal University
East China Normal University (ECNU) is recognized as one of Shanghai's top public research
universities under the patronage of the Ministry of Education, and is included in China's
national education projects, "Project 211" and "Project 985".
