International Conference on Asian Language Processing 2012 (IALP 2012) will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam in Nov 2012. This conference will be jointly organized by Chinese and Oriental Languages Information Processing Society (COLIPS) of Singapore, International Research Institute MICA, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST).

Odyssey 2012: The Speaker and Language Recognition Workshop will be hosted by COLIPS in Singapore on 25-28 June 2012. Odyssey’12 is an ISCA Tutorial and Research Workshop held in cooperation with the ISCA Speaker and Language Characterization SIG. The need for fast, efficient, accurate, and robust means of recognizing people and languages is of growing importance for commercial, forensic, and government applications. The aim of this workshop is to continue to foster interactions among researchers in speaker and language recognition as the successor of previous successful events held in Martigny (1994), Avignon (1998), Crete (2001), Toledo (2004), San Juan (2006), Stellenbosch (2008) and Brno (2010).

The 13th Chinese Lexical Semantic Workshop will be held in Wuhan China on June 6-8, 2012. This workshop will be hosted by Wuhan University. (PDF file of the Call-for-papers)

25th Pacific Asia Conference on Language, Information and Computation (PACLIC 25)

The 25th Pacific Asia Conference on Language, Information and Computation (PACLIC 25) will be held in Singapore on December 16-18, 2011, hosted by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Chinese and Oriental Languages Information Processing Society (COLIPS). The PACLIC series of conferences emphasize the synergy of theoretical analysis and processing of language, and provides a forum for researchers in different fields of language study in the Pacific-Asia region to share their findings and interests in the formal and empirical study of languages. Organized under the auspices of PACLIC Steering Committee, PACLIC 25 will be the latest instalment of our long standing collaborative efforts among theoretical and computational linguists in the Pacific-Asia region.
