Typeset Format Notes on preparation of
final manuscripts
1. File Formats 1.1 If the file is too large, combine all files into a single compressed file before submission. 1.2 Submit your file electronically by e-mail to the editor. Email to the editor should provide your full particulars: names of authors, e-mails, institutions and addresses. 1.3 Your paper should be in Word/RTF or PDF format for review. However, you have to use Word or RTF for the final manuscript so that we can edit your file. Please inform the chief-editor if you have problems generating files in one of the above format. Special arrangement may be made to publish your paper. 2. Text body
2.1 Paper size: A4 (210mmx297mm) 2.2 Text body (page frame) : 130 mm (width) x 200 mm (height), single column. 2.3 Paragraphs: Paragraphs are started with an indentation of 3mm. No extra line spacing between paragraphs.
2.4 Justification: Both left and right alignment for main text body and abstract. 2.5 Paper Size: Must be in A4 size. Margins: top 4 cm, bottom 5.7 cm, left 4 cm, right 4 cm. Header: 2 cm. Footer: 1.75 cm. 2.6 Line spacing: single, this is uniform throughout the whole text body, including the reference section. 2.7 Section numbering: In Arabic numbers 1, 2 .. and sub-sections in 1.1, 1.1.2 etc. 2.8 Page Number: No page number. We will insert proper page numbers for you. 2.9 Header:

3. Font 3.1 Font point size: 10 points 3.2 English font: Times New Roman 3.3 Chinese font: SongTi for main text, HeiTi for titles and KaiTi for abstract. 3.4 Italic and underline: restrict the use of italic and underline to minimum. 3.5 Bold: user HeiTi istead of bold for Chinese characters
4. Tables, figures and equations 4.1 Tables and figures:

4.3 Leave a blank line at the top of the tables, figures, and equations. 4.4 Leave a blank line at the bottom of the tables, figures, and equations.
5. Title and sub-titles 5.1 Main Title: 16 points, Times New Roman for English and HeiTi for Chinese title, all centralized, in one column
5.2 Sub-titles: As above but in 10 points, must be numbered in 1, 2..., or 2.1, 2.2, ..., and left justified. Place a space between the number and the sub-title itself, e.g., "1.(SPACE)Introduction"
5.3 Names of authors: below the main title, separated by a blank line.
5.4 Address (below the name(s)): Full addresses for all authors must be provided, 10 points, Times New Roman. Includes names of institution, street, district, city, country and postal codes, Fax, e-mail, etc. 5.5 Important dates (below the address(es) and separated by a blank line): Date submitted, revised and accepted must be specified in format of day, month, year, 10 points, Times New Roman or SongTi, eg. Submitted on 25 August, 1998 Revised and Accepted on 23 October, 1998 etc . 6. Abstract and Keywords 6.1 Language for abstract: In English for paper written in English. In Chinese and English for paper written in Chinese. 6.2 The English abstract for a paper written in Chinese must be an extended abstract, taking up at least one full page of paper, with all important formulae, figures and tables included 6.3 Position of abstract:

Bold Times New Roman, 10 points and has a line spacing of 1.5 lines English abstract in Times New Roman, italicized and 10 points; and Chinese abstract in
KaiTi, also 10 points.
6.5 Keywords: At least 6 keywords must be provided, In italicized Times New Roman or KaiTi, 10 points.
6.6 Leave two blank lines between the title Abstract and the last line before the abstract, and underline the first blank line. 6.7 Leave 1 blank line between the section for abstract and the section for keywords 6.8 Leave 3 blank lines between the set of keywords and the next title, and underline the first blank line. 7. 8. References and citations
8.1 Follow the format:
8.2 The references are cited in the text as: (Kupire 1993; Matsumoto et al. 1993; Smadja and McKeown 1994), (Sato 1992). 8.3 When citing conference proceeding, please also indicate: Full name of conference, Venue, Date, Proceedings editor/s 8.4 Space: single line spacing, no paragraph break between references. 8.5 After all, they should be sorted in alphabetical order - simply sort it using the sort command in Microsoft Word. 9.
