International Conference on Asian Language Processing (IALP 2008)

Chiang Mai, Thailand, Nov. 12-14, 2008

Conference Venue: Centara Duang Tawan Hotel

The International Conference on Asian Language Processing 2008 (IALP 2008) will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from Nov. 12 to Nov. 14, 2008. This conference will be jointly hosted by Chinese and Oriental Languages Information Processing Society (COLIPS) of Singapore and Department of Computer Science, Chiang Mai University of Thailand. A post-conference tour will be arranged from Nov. 15 to Nov. 16, 2008. 

News and Announcements

• Nov 3, 2008: Participants coming to the conference can take a hotel van with a charge of 100 baht each at the airport.

• Oct 14, 2008: To encourage the participantion of Thai researchers and students, the conference has special registration arrangement for Thai participants who do not have papers. For the registration details, please contact Prof Darunee at darunee@chiangmai.ac.th.

• Oct 6, 2008: The conference will be held at Centara Duang Tawan Hotel. Please reserve your hotel room as early as possible. The hotel information is avaialble online. For hotel reservation, please send your name, room type, arrival date and departure date to Prof Darunee at darunee@chiangmai.ac.th. The deadline for hotel revervation is 31 Oct 2008.

• Sep 27, 2008: If you need a formal letter of invitation, please send your name, full address, paper ID, title, authors to Dr Minghui Dong at mhdong@i2r.a-star.edu.sg. Please state it clearly if you need a hardcopy of the letter sent to you.

• Sep 27, 2008: The final manuscript should be sent to the program chair at dhji@colips.org.

• Sep 19, 2008: The information of invited speakers is online.

• Aug 16, 2008: paper submission has been closed.

• Aug 1, 2008: We understand some authors have experienced difficulty in online paper submission. The paper submission deadline is extended to Aug 15, 2008. If you have problem in paper submission, please send email to mhdong@i2r.a-star.edu.sg.

• July 16, 2008: The online paper submission system is open.

• Mar. 3, 2008: The call-for-paper is ready.

• Mar. 3, 2008: This website is set up.
