COLIPS

About Us

The Chinese and Oriental Languages Information Processing Society, or COLIPS in short, is a non-profit professional organisation that has been formed to advance the science and technology of information processing in Chinese and other similar oriental languages. One of the objectives is to promote the free exchange of information about information processing of these languages in the best scientific and professional tradition.

COLIPS has in the past, organised international conferences on Chinese and Oriental Languages, computer exhibitions and Chinese input competitions. It has also organised short course and talks for members and public at large. The society journal Journal of Chinese Language and Computing, JCLC is published four times a year and is circulated world-wide.

COLIPS is based in Singapore. COLIPS' members, however, come from all over the world. For membership enquiries, e-mail luakt@colips.org.
